Photoshop and Illustrator

I have learned so much about Photoshop and Illustrator over this semester, I feel like it's been both fun and stressful (thank you assignment 11). After watching the tutorial posted I learned even more things about both of these programs, here are a few things I learned watching the video

1. It is easier to use the same size file in Illustrator and Photoshop
2. Because editing in Photoshop can be difficul, learn how to use smart objects because they allow you to perform non destructive editing to your layers.
3. Although plug ins can become expensive, they allow to create really cool images, and he says that in the end they will pay for themselves.
4. Use the pen tool!
5. Sometimes updates in Photoshop will not work in Illustrator

STARBUCKS LOGO

TEXT AND SYMBOL:
This is probably one of my favorite logos that I could think of. I like the shape and the way the text is wrapped around the image of the mermaid. I think one of the main things I like is that the symbol is not coffee but something that inspires thought in people. I also like how the logo is simple yet intricate at the same time. Starbucks created a logo that doesn’t even use the main product they sell but they still managed to create a very popular and well recognized logo in places all over the country.

Oscar Worthy

These were a few of may favorite looks from the Academy Awards this year. I wasn't in love with Kate Winslet's dress but I loved her jewelrey, hair and makeup and I thought the color was so pretty on her. While its not usually my style for some reason I loved Zoe Saldana's fun dress. I thought the color looked beautiful and I liked the sequin top bodice paired with the flirty ruffle on the bottom of the dress. My favorite of the night was probably SJP's one of a kind Chanel dress, although I didn't care too much for her hair, the dress was beautiful, Im a little sad red carpet season is over but I cant wait till next year!
